Anticipated Arrival Rundown: MIB: International and Tropico 6

Anticipated Arrived Rundown

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post an Anticipated Arrival Rundowns, but I’ve finally gotten around to watching and playing the below items. So check out the below things that I have previously anticipated arriving!

MIB: International

PostAnticipated Arrival: MIB: International

I have finally gotten around to watching this movie.

I say finally because not only did I miss it at the cinemas, but I have had this DVD checked out at the library for over four months. Terrible, I know! Over the end of the year break, I finally forced myself to sit down watch this movie.

It was okay. Not going to lie, I was expecting more chemistry between Hemsworth and Thompson, if only because they were great together in Thor: Ragnarok. But other than that it was a decent film and scored extra points simply because Emma Thompson was in it.

And yes, in reference to my original post, Tessa Thompson in a suit was everything I dreamed 🥰

What is it?!

The newest game in the Animal Crossing franchise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Pretty much you play as a customised ‘villager’ who lives with a few animals. Traditionally you were located in a small village, however in New Horizons, you are on a deserted island where you start from scratch.

When is it coming out?!

March 20, 2020.

Why do you want it?!

I really love the Animal Crossing series, I clocked a ridiculous number of hours on my 3DS New Leaf game as well as the Happy Home Design. I’m really looking forward to playing the new game not only because of the different narrative set up but also because it’s on the Switch.

Also I love the sense of accomplishment I get when I finally complete a big challenge or pay off a loan. If only it was all this easy in real life 😋

Also I just watched the newest Nintendo Direct about it last night and I am SO PUMPED for the game!

Why does everyone else need it?!

Animal Crossing is just so dang cute! You need it because its not a traditional game, its one you return to over and over, playing for a little bit at a time. It is just so much fun!

Are you an Animal Crossing fan? Are you as excited as I am? Who is your favourite villager? Mine is Lily, she’s just so sweet and adorable 🐸

Anticipated Arrival: The Bride Bet by Tessa Dare

Anticpated arrivals

Ten years ago, Nicola and the duke wanted nothing to do with each other… and that’s exactly why they got engaged.

What is it?!

The Bride Bet is the fourth book in the Girl Meets Duke series by Tessa Dare. The book, if it goes by the usual ‘side-character who gets their own book’ formula, is potentially the last book in this series.

When is it coming out?!

August 15, 2020.

I know, I know, there is a long time to wait until we get to read the book. Probably even longer if I want to continue how I’ve previously engaged with the books, and listen to it as an audiobook. But still, I am looking forward to reading The Bride Bet.

Why do you want it?!

I really want this book because the character, Nicola, has always intrigued me and left me wanting to know more about this pretty closed off character.

The snippets of story that we got in the third book, The Wallflower Wager, about Nicola seemed really interesting – the revelation that all this time, Nicola had been engaged and her desperate attempts not to be seen by him made me want to know more!

Why does everyone else need it?!

So far Tessa Dare has been a very entertaining and humours read – it is sometimes hard to find the right mix of romance and humour in historical romance books and the third book The Wallflower Wager aside, I have really enjoyed all the characters and their romances.

So not only do I recommend you pick up one of Tessa Dare’s books but I think you should also get excited about the fourth and potentially last book of this great series!

Anticipated Arrival: Tough Guy by Rachel Reid

Anticpated arrivals

What is it?!

Tough Guy is the third book in the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid.

I have previously read the first two books, Game Changer and Heated Rivalry, and quickly fell in love with not only the characters of the books but the intricate and emotional stories told by Reid.

According to Reid’s website, the third book will feature Pro Hockey Star Ryan Price and a Fabian Salah who is from Ryan’s early hockey days when he was billeted with Fabians family. Reid’s description of Ryan as a tall, shy, red head, who doesn’t like flying, has jogged my memory and I think I remember this character, if only slightly (hello re-read).

When is it coming out?!

January 13, 2020.

We still have a few months to wait for this book but I am looking forward to starting the year off with another book of Reid’s from her Game Changer universe.

Why do you want it?!

I became really immersed and emotionally involved in the story telling from Reid’s first two Game Changer books and look forward to reading another story of hers from this universe. Plus, I have a very small knowledge of hockey, so it is always interesting to find out more about this game and professional sport.

Also as far as I am concerned Carina Press can do no wrong – I am always satisfied with the stories and books that are published through them. It is so great seeing more diverse content as well!

Why does everyone else need it?!

Um, because the first two books were amazing. Don’t believe me? Check out my two resews of the series and try not to be swayed into reading them. Plus who doesn’t like reading romances with shy characters?

Anticipated Arrival Rundown

Anticipated Arrived Rundown

In the time since posting my first and second Anticipated Arrival Rundowns, I finally have access to and gotten around to two things on my list. Check out the below two items I’ve been waiting for and finally experienced ❤

Fence by P.S. Pacat

PostAnticipated Arrival: C.S. Pacat’s Fence Vol.1

It has been pretty much a year since this Anticipated Arrival post and I can update that I have finally gotten around to reading this gem. I am a big fan of P.S. Pacat and her Captive Prince series (I totally have signed copies 😱😍) so anything new by her was a must read. And Fence really is a must read!

I finished the first volume of Fence in one sitting and fell in love. I was lucky enough to have Volume 2 sitting next to me and have just recently received my preorder of Volume 3 😄 For such small volumes they pack in a lot of story. I found all the characters very compelling, the art beautiful, and I really just want more so I can see where the rest of the story leads.

I would really recommend picking up Fence if you see it!

Anticipated Arrival: Tropico 6

Anticpated arrivals

What is it?!

Tropico 6 y’all!

The latest game in the Tropico series! I loved number 5 but sadly did not obsessively play it as much as Tropico 4.

There isn’t really a blurb for the game but if you really want to break it down – think of Tropico as Sim City but if it was run by a Cuban dictator. It’s a world building simulation set in a banana republic kind of island where you try and juggle the political, economical, and social issues of the island as you try and stay in power throughout the ages.

El Presidente is back!

Features:

Play on large archipelagos for the first time in the series. Manage multiple islands at the same time and adapt to various new challenges.

Send your agents on raids to foreign lands to steal world wonders and monuments, to add them to your collection.

Build bridges, construct tunnels and transport your citizens and tourists in taxis, buses and aerial cable cars. Tropico 6 offers completely new transportation and infrastructure possibilities.

Customize the looks of your palace at will and choose from various extras.
Tropico 6 features a revised research system focusing on the political aspects of being the world’s greatest dictator.

Election speeches are back! Address the people and make promises that you can’t possibly keep.

Anticipated Arrival: Second Hand by Marie Sexton and Heidi Cullinan

Anticpated arrivals

What is it?!

A second edition of a book called Second Hand by Marie Sexton and Heidi Cullinan. I read the book years ago (all the way back in 2012) and loved it!

A Tucker Springs Novel
Paul Hannon flunked out of vet school. His fiancée left him. He can barely afford his rent, and he hates his house. About the only things he has left are a pantry full of his ex’s kitchen gadgets and a lot of emotional baggage. He could really use a win—and that’s when he meets El.
Pawnbroker El Rozal is a cynic. His own family’s dysfunction has taught him that love and relationships lead to misery. Despite that belief, he keeps making up excuses to see Paul again. Paul, who doesn’t seem to realize that he’s talented and kind and worthy. Paul, who’s not over his ex-fiancée and is probably straight anyway. Paul, who’s so blind to El’s growing attraction, even asking him out on dates doesn’t seem to tip him off.
El may not do relationships, but something has to give. If he wants to keep Paul, he’ll have to convince him he’s worthy of love—and he’ll have to admit that attachment might not be so bad after all.

The Second Anticipated Arrival Rundown

Anticipated Arrived Rundown

In the time since posting my first Anticipated Arrival Rundown, I’ve finally read and watched two things on my list. Check out the below two items I’ve been waiting for and finally experienced ❤

dragonshoard

The Dragon’s Hoard by Mell Eight.

Post: Anticipated Arrival: Mell Eight’s The Dragon’s Hoard.

I have previously read the first four short stories in this collection. I really enjoyed re-reading them and also loved the new stories included.

I have a weakness for any type of romance novel. If you make it an fantasy romance novel ever better. If it’s a fantasy romance novel with dragons, then you have a surefire winner!

I would really recommend The Dragon’s Hoard if you were after a bunch of quick and happy m/m romance reads <# Continue reading “The Second Anticipated Arrival Rundown”
