It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post an Anticipated Arrival Rundowns, but I’ve finally gotten around to watching and playing the below items. So check out the below things that I have previously anticipated arriving!
I have finally gotten around to watching this movie.
I say finally because not only did I miss it at the cinemas, but I have had this DVD checked out at the library for over four months. Terrible, I know! Over the end of the year break, I finally forced myself to sit down watch this movie.
It was okay. Not going to lie, I was expecting more chemistry between Hemsworth and Thompson, if only because they were great together in Thor: Ragnarok. But other than that it was a decent film and scored extra points simply because Emma Thompson was in it.
And yes, in reference to my original post, Tessa Thompson in a suit was everything I dreamed 🥰
Beloved franchise Animal Crossing gets ready for its Nintendo Switch debut!

*Enjoy a variety of relaxing activities like gardening, fishing, decorating, interacting with charming NPCs, and more, as classic Animal Crossing experiences come to life in fun new ways within the deserted-island setting.
The newest game in the Animal Crossing franchise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Pretty much you play as a customised ‘villager’ who lives with a few animals. Traditionally you were located in a small village, however in New Horizons, you are on a deserted island where you start from scratch.
When is it coming out?!
March 20, 2020.
Why do you want it?!
I really love the Animal Crossing series, I clocked a ridiculous number of hours on my 3DS New Leaf game as well as the Happy Home Design. I’m really looking forward to playing the new game not only because of the different narrative set up but also because it’s on the Switch.
Also I love the sense of accomplishment I get when I finally complete a big challenge or pay off a loan. If only it was all this easy in real life 😋
Also I just watched the newest Nintendo Direct about it last night and I am SO PUMPED for the game!
Why does everyone else need it?!
Animal Crossing is just so dang cute! You need it because its not a traditional game, its one you return to over and over, playing for a little bit at a time. It is just so much fun!
Are you an Animal Crossing fan? Are you as excited as I am? Who is your favourite villager? Mine is Lily, she’s just so sweet and adorable 🐸
It’s a lovely morning in the village, and you are a horrible goose.
Yep, you read that right, in Untitled Goose Game you play as a goose who goes around and antagonises a village full of people. The controls are literally, walk, run, duck, grab, honk, and flap your wings. It is literally the funnest game I have played all year.
In the time since posting my first and second Anticipated Arrival Rundowns, I finally have access to and gotten around to two things on my list. Check out the below two items I’ve been waiting for and finally experienced ❤
It has been pretty much a year since this Anticipated Arrival post and I can update that I have finally gotten around to reading this gem. I am a big fan of P.S. Pacat and her Captive Prince series (I totally have signed copies 😱😍) so anything new by her was a must read. And Fence really is a must read!
I finished the first volume of Fence in one sitting and fell in love. I was lucky enough to have Volume 2 sitting next to me and have just recently received my preorder of Volume 3 😄 For such small volumes they pack in a lot of story. I found all the characters very compelling, the art beautiful, and I really just want more so I can see where the rest of the story leads.
I would really recommend picking up Fence if you see it!
The latest game in the Tropico series! I loved number 5 but sadly did not obsessively play it as much as Tropico 4.
There isn’t really a blurb for the game but if you really want to break it down – think of Tropico as Sim City but if it was run by a Cuban dictator. It’s a world building simulation set in a banana republic kind of island where you try and juggle the political, economical, and social issues of the island as you try and stay in power throughout the ages.
El Presidente is back!
Play on large archipelagos for the first time in the series. Manage multiple islands at the same time and adapt to various new challenges.
Send your agents on raids to foreign lands to steal world wonders and monuments, to add them to your collection.
Build bridges, construct tunnels and transport your citizens and tourists in taxis, buses and aerial cable cars. Tropico 6 offers completely new transportation and infrastructure possibilities.
Customize the looks of your palace at will and choose from various extras. Tropico 6 features a revised research system focusing on the political aspects of being the world’s greatest dictator.
Election speeches are back! Address the people and make promises that you can’t possibly keep.

Release Date: 26 February 2016. Played on: Nintendo Switch.
Genre: Simulation. Role-playing. Farming.
Mode: Single Player and Multiplayer.
My Thoughts: Stardew Valley is a farming simulator with a plot heavy edge. The basic plot of the game is you are left a farm by your grandfather who has just passed away. Your character decides to leave their unhappy corporate life and give farming a go. Already a win for me.
I will come right out and say that Stardew Valley is very similar to the Harvest Moon games. However, the two games differ through their content. Stardew Valley is more mature in the subject matter that is included in the stories (I’m looking at you Shane). Also unlike Harvest Moon I don’t feel like pulling my hair out at the slow pace of the game 😛
Stardew Valley is a pretty much a step up from the Harvest Moon series.
I have a fondness for simulation games and the fact that this one is so filled with plot is amazing! I have previously played Stardew Valley on my PlayStation, however the file corrupted so my amazing farm and newborn baby with Shane has been lost to the ages 😥
With the game being available on the Switch (which I play way more than any other console) I couldn’t help myself and I purchased the game again. No regrets.
Best Bits: So many compelling characters! I think I’ve figured out which character to romance and then I have a cut scene with another character and suddenly I’m questioning everything.
My current play through is as a male character and I am thinking about pursuing Alex. I really enjoy the characters of the game, they’re all really varied and with my second play through I am finding all sorts of things that I missed before. The game has so much content!
I love this game. It has just the right mix of farm simulation and role playing to keep my attention for hours.
Recommendations: I would really recommend this game for people looking for a fun and engaging simulation game. It is very easy to lose hours to this game as it keeps you hooked with so much content.
Honestly, I’d recommend everyone give this game a go, it’s from an indie developer and is just so fabulous. You don’t need to be a fan of the simulation genre to find enjoyment from this game.
Quick run down: Every year I try and buy a few of these limited release bubble bars. The bars smell amazing and are so easy to use. You simply crumble them under a running tap and bam – you have a bubble bath.
It appears that this year instead of being little pyramids, Lush has made them into a bit more manageable shape. I usually try and grab as many as I can in the online boxing day sales but I never turn them down as a present!
Quick reasons why I love it:
The Smell: They are amazing – a soft and sweet vanilla.
The Luxury: Bubble baths are a large part of my self care routine and these beauties make them all the more luxurious.
Quick run down: Okay so stay with me on this one, I own Cinder and Winter. However, I do not have the other books. I also love box sets so…
If you don’t know the series, I would really recommend you check out it out! The books are retellings of classic fairy tale and they are all interconnected and amazing. I tend to recommend the series to young adults at the library and I haven’t had any complaints yet.
Quick reasons why I love the series:
The larger story: The five books all interconnect to tell a larger story. I’m just going to let you in on a secret, the ‘Winter‘ book is about ‘Snow White’ and the other characters from the book all join together and there are ‘seven’ of them… Yep details like that make me so happy!
The covers: I know a lot of people give Cinder a tough time about the cover – what with the whole weird looking foot in a shoe but I love it and I love them all!.
InstLife is a mobile, text based, game that allows you to live the life of a randomly generated person. For each year of the persons life you are able to make decisions on how they experience the world.
Does your person stay in school? Do they find love early in life? Have children? Follow the law? Smoke? Drink? Cheat? You get to decide and then see the consequences.
Finally the best of the additional content has made it to the game 😀
