Anticipated Arrival: Tropico 6

Anticpated arrivals

What is it?!

Tropico 6 y’all!

The latest game in the Tropico series! I loved number 5 but sadly did not obsessively play it as much as Tropico 4.

There isn’t really a blurb for the game but if you really want to break it down – think of Tropico as Sim City but if it was run by a Cuban dictator. It’s a world building simulation set in a banana republic kind of island where you try and juggle the political, economical, and social issues of the island as you try and stay in power throughout the ages.

El Presidente is back!

Play on large archipelagos for the first time in the series. Manage multiple islands at the same time and adapt to various new challenges.

Send your agents on raids to foreign lands to steal world wonders and monuments, to add them to your collection.

Build bridges, construct tunnels and transport your citizens and tourists in taxis, buses and aerial cable cars. Tropico 6 offers completely new transportation and infrastructure possibilities.

Customize the looks of your palace at will and choose from various extras.
Tropico 6 features a revised research system focusing on the political aspects of being the world’s greatest dictator.

Election speeches are back! Address the people and make promises that you can’t possibly keep.

When is it coming out?!

April 2, 2019. TODAY!

If I got my act together and pre-ordered the game on Steam then I could have potentially been playing the game for a week!

Why do you want it?!

I needs it!

I have loved this game since the first time I saw it on my partners Steam Library. Curious, I loaded it and the rest was history. Or maybe not history but over 200 hours of game play and the most played game on our Steam list.

I was a fan of Tropico 5 but after a rocky start with the auto save function that lead to me losing a lot of time and game progress. I didn’t hit the same amount of hours but the trailer for Tropico 6 has reinvigorated my passion and drive for the game.

Also the music is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Latin Jazz will have you bopping along as you try and help your population make money, stay alive, and fall in love with El Presidente.

Why does everyone else need it?!

Because it is such a funny game, honestly at the end of the day it is a world simulator that is just so cheesy and funny. The characters of the game plus the scenarios and reasoning behind game actions is just so fun and I would often find myself playing with a smile.

If you like simulator games and you like cheesy jokes, then I would really recommend you have a watch of the trailer below. If it tickles your fancy, I’d recommend giving it a go!
