Blurb: A double dose of happily-ever-after…
Speech therapist Daphne’s neat, orderly life takes a turn for the dramatic when she’s kidnapped and spirited away to a hideout deep in the Colorado mountains. Her captors? Gorgeous men—all escaped from a secret laboratory designed to build perfect supersoldiers.
Trauma associated with his engineering left Benjy mute, and Ari thinks Daphne’s just the girl to help him recover. Held against her will, Daphne will be damned before she helps any of them—regardless of how electrifying she finds their touches.
But as Daphne’s hunger for Benjy and Ari grows, so does her empathy for the other soldiers hiding out at the lodge. With danger from her own past threatening to resurface and an overeager FBI agent sniffing around, she needs to free herself, her men and the others.

My Thoughts: Woo! Last book in the series!
I will be honest with you, Double Dose wasn’t my favourite. The book does wrap up the story and provide way more information about the backstory of the five main guys, which was great. The part that put me off the most was the relationship between the romantic leads Daphne, Ari, and Benjy.
Initially I was put off by the way which the characters met, as well as the way in which Ari treated Daphne (mainly those smacks on the butt). I felt uncomfortable some times during these parts, mainly because I couldn’t stop thinking about how the actions could really be classed as sexual harassment – not to mention the whole Stockholm Syndrome angle. In the end though, the relationship and their dynamics did grow on me.
While I didn’t start off enjoying the romantic relationships of the novel, Double Dose was way more plot driven than the three books before. Story lines are wrapped up, happy endings are had, and I can say I enjoyed the ‘Research and Desire’ series.
Smut Level: If you have paid attention to any of my other posts about this series, you will know that the scenes can get very steamy. Double Dose is no different – the romance of the novel is a menage so you can expect lots of two on one action. I probably could have stood to see more interaction between Ari and Benjy but we can’t have everything 😛
