My Thoughts: It took me a little while to get into the swing of this book, but once I did I was hooked. I think that initially I was a little off-put by the political nature of Chase’s career and the conflict that arises from the issue, however I think this may have been because the world of American politics is somewhat foreign to little old Australian me.
As the novel progressed so did my understanding of the two characters. It was really nice to see the character development of the novel, as the pair had been in a whirlwind relationship ten years previous, the slow reveal of how their love disintegrated and how it has affected them both was great. By the end of the snow storm I was rooting for the pair and their second chance at love!
A Snowbound Scandal did not disappoint, it was entertaining, heartwarming, and had a killer ending. I really enjoyed seeing Chase and Mimi come to terms for their feelings for each other. I am also really looking forward to reading the next book in the series, A Christmas Proposition, which features Chase’s sister Stefanie and friend Emmett.
Smut Level: A Snowbound Scandal is part of the ‘Harlequin Desire’ line, so expect lots of sexy and salacious scenes. The moments and scenes between Mimi and Chase were emotionally charged and incredibly fun to read ❤
Please note: I received a copy of ‘A Snowbound Scandal’ from NetGalley.
